Veterinary Cardiology Specialists offers ECG, Radiographic and Echocardiographic interpretation through two telemedicine services: VetRhythm and DVMinsight.

ECG Telemedicine

VetRhythm:  An ECG and Holter telemedicine consulting service

How does it work?
The VetRhythm ECG consulting service is integrated into a PC based ECG software program, as part of the Nasiff CardioCard system.  If you are performing an ECG or Holter on a patient in your hospital, using the CardioCard system, you can elect to send the ECG or Holter for consultation through VetRhythm at the simple click of a button.

Who interprets your ECG or Holter and how quickly will you get results?
All the readers in the VetRhythm network are board certified veterinary cardiologists.  So rest assured that your ECG will be interpreted by a cardiology specialist.

The VetRhythm network is still growing.  At this point, you will have your ECG results within 24 hours.  Holter results may take up to 1 week for turn around.  As the network expands, the goal is to be able to provide you with STAT ECG readings on your critical and/or intra-operative patients.

How do I get started?
You will need to purchase the ECG Nasiff CardioCard system which includes the following (The Holter equipment is additional):

  • CardioCard PC based software*
  • A CardioCard ECG unit with leads
  • Technical support for loading the software
  • Workshop on the use of the system
  • Continued technical support for the VetRhythm consulting service
